Life drawing
In life drawing we were given the choice of drawing the view from outside or drawing the skeletons. Because skeletons a really hard to draw the choice was easy.
This first image is of the view from outside our studios. Its a wooden gazebo that at the moment is used to shelter some sculptures from the rain. The drawing was done on A2 sized paper with chalk, pencil and charcoal. I like this piece because where I've done the shading you can really see the depth and which pieces stand out more than others. To improve this I need to finish the roof , add more depth and get the proportions right.
This second drawing was made after we had to rush inside because it started chucking it down and is the skeletons with fabric draped over them to make them more interesting. This was done on A2 paper with chalk, charcoal and coloured pastels. I don't like this one very much because the skeletons legs are too bendy and the colours aren't very well separated. To improve this I need to make sure I draw everything how I see it and that the proportions are right.
